Hello! I'm Ben and these are my real framed and mounted butterflies. Butterfly gifts are great for someone special in your life, or to decorate a room in your home or office with real butterflies from the Amazon rainforest of Peru. They are entomologically spread, dried and preserved to last a lifetime.
~~~¿HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT THAN THE REST?~~~
~The verso (back sides) of most butterflies wings is just as mystifying if not more so than the front. Don't believe me, then look at the backsides of the Morpho butterflies, or the Agrias Claudina. With shadowbox frames, you're only getting half of the whole butterfly to enjoy. That is why all of our butterflies come in double pane glass wood framing so you can show off the beauty of the front and the back. Also when mounted, the double pane glass allows the color of the wall behind it to create the perfect backdrop.
~Each frame has the glass sealed along the wood frames inner grooves with liquid silicone done right so there is no hint or interruption of smudges and overflows of silicone sealant when looking at the frame.
~My butterflies are not just bugs in glass, they are the product of an effort to maintain a natural ecological cycle intact. Through study, investigation and cooperation with local economies in the Amazon Rainforest I am one of the very few people that knows exactly where my butterflies come from.
~There are nearly 20,000 species of butterflies in the world, 7000 butterflies, over a third of all of them, are Neotropical. There are lifetimes worth of studies dedicated to different regions around the world. Being solely focused on Neotropical butterflies allows me to be the very best in my field. Some of the most noteworthy butterflies from this area are Glasswings, Morphos, Urania's, Caligos, and many more. Go ahead, check them out in my shop and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
~~~How long do Neotropical butterflies live?~~~
This is the most frequently asked question I receive so I went ahead and decided to include it here for you all to know. Most Neotropical butterflies go through several generations a year because their lives as adults are very short, no more than three weeks in many cases. Keep in mind there are other segments of their life before they become adults, egg, larva, pupa, then butterfly.
