My father instilled within me a deep love and appreciation of Nature. In the winter, we would watch the snow-covered fields become a blaze of color as they reflected the first rays of the sun, and in the evening we would go out and listen to the sound of snowflakes falling among pine trees. What I remember most is not only the beauty of these moments, but, even more, the emotions they evoked - this is what inspires me.

In all that I create, I aspire to capture the essence of the moment. As I create a piece of jewelry, I work to accentuate beauty of the gemstones and the mystery of their creation. In my drawings and paintings, I endeavor to evoke both a tactile and emotional response - my hope is the viewer will not just see the image before them, but will also experience it emotionally.
