I have loved photography and travel for as long as I can remember. Recently, an incredible restlessness settled on me. A couple of years ago, I put my Etsy shop on "vacation mode" and took off--first, on a 7-week USA road trip with my 79-year-old mother, followed by a long-dreamed-about trip around-the-world with my husband.

“To travel is to possess the world,” I once read. These pictures are my souvenirs. Memories suspended in time.

About the photos and my process:
I am inspired by early mornings and the quiet moments where I can hear the dogs breathing, birds singing, rain tapping the windows, and the leaves whispering on the trees. I love the saturated colors found on old linen postcards and hand-tinted glass slides, and the fragile ephemera that remains from the Grand Tour era. Sometimes I give my photographs a touch of those old days by layering on textures, colors, and mixing media in my digital darkroom. I still sometimes shoot film with a collection of beloved old cameras. There's the light-leaky plastic Holga, the lazy focus 1930s Rolleicord, the heavy folding Polaroid, and a teeny-tiny Brownie Special. I love the brilliant (and often unpredictable) colors and grain from film.
