ChadQuilt's Shop Policies
Many of us, at one time or another, have felt that we were taken advantage of in an online transaction by a buyer or seller. I know that I have. My business philosophy is simple. I treat people the way I want to be treated: fairly. This page spells out exactly what I mean.
I accept PayPal. I typically ship within 2 business days of my receipt of the purchase price and shipping cost and cleared payments made by eChecks.
COMBINED SHIPPING COST
I hate bait and switch techniques (low item cost + high shipping cost). The shipping cost shown for each listing is the actual $ amount that USPS will charge to ship the package. Since I sell items that have different sizes/shapes and weights, it's practically impossible to come up with an accurate shipping fee for additional items in multiple item orders.
MERCHANDISE PRICED AT $500 OR ABOVE
I will insure the shipment for the amount of the purchase price and ship via USPS with delivery confirmation. By ordering the item, you authorize any person at your mailing address to receive and sign for the shipment. I inspect all merchandise before I ship it.
If you claim the merchandise is damaged, you will file an insurance claim with the US Postal Service and comply with all of its requirements. You won't return the purchased item to me or destroy the original container and packing/shipping materials; doing that might result in denial of the insurance claim. The USPS will require you to physically take the contents of the package, the original shipping container and all of the packing/shipping materials to your Post Office. You will be solely responsible for pursuing the insurance claim. If the USPS allows the claim, you'll be entitled to any compensation paid by the USPS. You will not be entitled to any refund from me, regardless of whether the USPS allows or denies the claim. I will supply USPS with whatever documents USPS may require relating to proof of insurance, shipping, and payment of insurance and postage.
MERCHANDISE PRICED UNDER $500
I will ship via USPS with Delivery Confirmation. I personally inspect all merchandise before I ship it and prepare it VERY carefully for shipment. If you receive an item that you feel is damaged, please contact me and we'll take it from there.
