ChalkStyle's Shop Policies
Hello and welcome to our little chalkboard shop. We make these quality items with lots of care. Please take a minute to read our policies regarding payment, shipping and refunds.
We currently accept payments via PayPal. However, you can also use your credit card to pay via PayPal, without having a PayPal account. If you are sending the payment via a PayPal cheque (e-cheque), we will only ship the purchased items after the cheque clears (typically takes 3 to 5 business days for a cheque to clear).
Please note that we collect sales tax in Canada only; the sales tax depends on the province the item ships to. There's no tax for other countries.
We ship via air mail, and typically within 1-3 days after you place the order (unless otherwise stated in the listing) or after an e-cheque clears (if you use one). If your order is urgent, please get in touch, we do our best to prioritize your order. We make sure that each and every chalkboard is securely packaged, so it gets to you safely. The shipping time varies according to your location:
- U.S. - 5 to 7 business days
- Canada - 5 to 7 business days (less if located in Ontario)
- U.K. - 7 to 12 business days - European Union - 7 to 12 business days
- Australia - 7 to 12 business days
- Everywhere else - 7 to 12 business days
Please note that this time frame is only an estimate, not a guarantee, so the delivery may take more or less time, and during certain periods the post office gets busier, such as Thanksgiving or winter holidays, so the packages may be delayed. If you would like a shipping option with a guaranteed arrival time, please contact us before you order and we can quote you on other shipping options. We can only provide a tracking number for orders within Canada. Should you require a tracking number, please contact us before you place the order and we'll give you a quote on the tracking number expenses. Please note that international orders (shipped OUTSIDE Canada or the US) may have duty or custom fees (imposed for imported goods). These are fees that depend on the country the item is being shipped to. Certain countries impose duties and/or fees on packages and the buyer is responsible for any and all of these on international shipments. We cannot tell you if your country will impose any fees, please consult your local postal authorities.
** Please CHECK the address you provide when you place an order. We are not responsible for items lost due to incorrect mailing address or mistakes in the address provided. If a package is returned to us due to incorrect mailing address, you are responsible for additional shipping costs or we can refund you for your order minus the shipping charges.
If your Paypal address is different from your Etsy address, we will ship to the address you provide on Etsy.**
Refunds and Exchanges
Please get in touch about any concerns you may have. We are very convo friendly and we'll do our best so you're happy with your purchase.
If for some reason, you are unhappy with the item you buy, please contact us and we will provide you a refund or store credit equal to the cost of the item but only after you return the item to us via post and we receive it. You are responsible for all additional shipping costs. The item must be returned within 7 days after you received your purchase. It must also be in its original condition. Exchanges that are returned in damaged condition will not be honored. If an item is damaged when it arrives to destination, we will provide a replacement or refund once you provide a picture proving that the item is damaged.
Important: Customized/personalized items cannot be returned for a refund or store credit.
If an item doesn't arrive to its destination we can only offer a refund if the item doesn't arrive 45 days after it's shipped. Please note that before we offer a refund, we will need confirmation from the Post Office that the item was lost (the Post Office will conduct an investigation in this respect typically 45 days after the item is shipped).
