Details of my Belgrade poster

My process includes being bookish and nerdy and memorizing all the European Capitals.

I didn't want anyone from the cities I make posters for to think I was an idiot. So I've done a lot of research on each of the cities. For example, did you know that there are only 2,000 people in the country of Monaco who live outside the city of Monaco? Did you know that the main symbol of Warsaw, Poland is a mermaid with a sword?

I wanted each poster design to really reflect the city in a specific way, either physically, emotionally, geographically, or historically. That's why I spend a lot of time on each poster, tweaking the design and layout until something special comes from it.

And sometimes that means going back and doing it a second time. I just updated the poster for Bucharest, Romania... you should go see it now! It used to be okay, but now I think it really carries more of the Romanian Athenaeum spirit. And I won't even show you my first attempt for Amsterdam... it was hideous.

I hope you can enjoy perusing my Country Capitals collection. This project has been so rewarding just for the creative stretching and intellectual insight I've gained.

Why can't I edit the PDF after I download it?

The graphics and fonts in my posters are licensed to me, so I lock the PDFs so folks can't change them. You should be able to open and print the PDF with high resolution, but you won't be able to resize or make any changes. I am *happy* to do any resizing, shrinking, editing, or custom edits you need. Just send me a message and I will take care of it!
