CraftSanity Shop

CraftSanity's Shop Announcement

Hi. I'm Jennifer Ackerman-Haywood, a longtime craft blogger and producer of the CraftSanity Podcast.

I quit my day job as a newspaper reporter in July 2009 and became a freelance writer and full-time maker. I still write a weekly art and craft column for a West Michigan newspaper and do weekly craft segments on a local morning TV show. When I'm not interviewing talented folks for my podcast or column, I'm likely teaching people how to make stuff.

I've been a fiber artist for many years and particularly love weaving on portable looms. To supplement my income and support my podcast, I decided to start making portable wooden weaving looms.

These one-of-a-kind wood looms are designed and handmade in West Michigan by yours truly in collaboration with a local woodworker with way more tools than I could ever fit in my craft-packed house. He drills out the frames and I glue in all the pegs and do the design and finishing work.

I created these looms because I wanted pretty and portable looms to use in my weaving projects. I hope they will inspire you to tear up your old bed sheets and weave up a storm.

I've designed a whole collection of oak peg looms in a variety of sizes and will be offering more size options in the future.

Thanks for stopping by the shop. For more information feel free to convo me or contact me at jennifer [!at] craftsanity.com.

Note: All the looms come with basic instructions for weaving with fabric and loopers. I e-mail pdf instructions after each sale so customers can prepare fabric and loopers while their looms are in transit.

I also offer discounted combined shipping rates and will refund customers the discounted rate via PayPal.
