My name is Helen, and I like to make monsters. I can trace my fondness for weird and wonderful creatures back to the very first time I saw “The Muppet Show” as a child, and after I learned to sew, it wasn’t long before I was bringing my imaginary friends into the real world with the help of needles, felt and yarn.

But times change, and I moved on to more “grown-up” projects. Then one day, I started to knit a pair of handwarmers, ran out of yarn and decided to improvise a pattern for a little monster instead. And so Beasties were born! Since then, I’ve made them in all shapes and sizes, and they’ve really taken on a life of their own!

Every Beastie is totally handmade and completely unique, with their own individual combination of colours, expressions and exclusive accessories. I knit with high-quality natural fibre yarns, and each Beastie’s special features are lovingly hand stitched. All Beasties leave home with an official Beastie passport and personal ID number too, so that you will know where yours fits in this ever-expanding monster family.
