Because a happy life takes a sense of humor and a lot of beads...

I'm Lauren, and I sculpt these beads (and sometimes do beadwork) myself by hand, in a little studio in Manchester, MD.

The lampwork glass beads are made by heating glass rods with a torch. There are no molds, and certainly no paint involved (because folks keep asking me when I "paint" the colors on the bead). All of the colors are added by carefully controlling the flow of hot glass onto the surface of the bead - blue was put on with blue glass, yellow with yellow glass, etc.

So come on in, put your feet up, hang out for a bit and have a cup of hot tea. Browse some beads. And if you have any questions, drop me a convo! This shop is very convo friendly and I don't consider a friendly hello to be spam. I'm always happy to chat.
