I am a printmaker, but I don't make prints. Printmaking has a long, interesting tradition, but I only like tradition when I've created it myself. My printmaking tradition: I make suicide cuts - for faster turnaround, as an illustrator - and each one is unique from the others. At the most there are 8 in existence, and of those there are usually two that I deem worthy of outside scrutiny. There is always one. If there wasn't one, I'd be in trouble. If there are two, I keep one, and I sell one to you. You will find no one else on earth who has purchased the same piece from me that you have. These are originals: hand-made, and hand-picked.
