My polymer clay pieces are made using the fine art technique of millefiori. This is a technique that glass artists have used for centuries. Millefiori means "thousand flowers"
In making my designs, the detail that you see results from hand blending colors and hand building the elements. Then assembling them into patterns to form what is called a "cane". It is then reduced by hand making it smaller and longer. When the cane is sliced the detailed pattern is revealed inside. I enjoy adding sterling silver elements to my pieces which have all been made by me, including the ear wires!
You will also see some of my sculpted pieces that I have been putting in my store....sometimes I just like doing something a little different with the clay!
