5 out of 5 starsTop notch quality of soft & thick nylon strings combined with an excellent weave that allows for the perfect amount of support when laying diagonally. Have had a dozen Mayan hammocks in the past and this one is the best so far! I’m 6’2 / 180 lbs and the large size is plenty roomy for me and a standard poodle to lay in.

The owner answered all my questions promptly and I love the product. Just order it you won’t be sorry this is real quality made by real people. That means someone.

Frequently asked questions
About the size of hammock:
About the size of hammock:
- If you want to share the hammock with someone else, or you want to have a lot of space to lie down then I would recommend a large size hammock (traditional hammock made with thick nylon/cotton thread), if the hammock is just for a single-use and you don't want that much space, then the medium size would be ideal.
Recommended hanging heights and widths:
- The hammocks includes a pair of ropes to hang it in wide places, so you can hang it in distances between 10 to 13ft (3 to 4m), the recommended height to hang the hammock would be between 6 to 7ft (1.8 to 2.1 m) from the floor. I recommend that when hanging the hammock it forms a curved line (similar to a smile), this way the threads will not be taut and you will feel more comfortable when you lie in the hammock.
If you will be hanging the hammock on a stand, we recommend that the stand measures 14-15ft between the hanging points. We do not recommend using small stands in "American Hammocks", as some have "U" shaped posts, that could incorrectly tension the end threads (arms) and break them.
Kind of thread:
- Cotton: it is cooler, it resists better direct sunlight and it adapts better to the body, however, it has a smaller range of colors and these are a bit pale (compared with nylon). For a longer lifetime, it is recommended not to leave in humid places (for a long period of time).
- nylon: resists moisture, does not stretch, its colors are more vivid and has a wider range of colors, however, for a longer life time, it is not recommended to leave under direct sunlight, it is also recommended NOT to store or have contact with bleach.
Regardless of the type of thread, for a longer lifetime of the hammock we recommend storing the hammock when it is not going to be used.
Care instructions
1. Regardless of the type of thread, for a longer lifetime of the hammock we recommend storing the hammock when it is not going to be used.
2. When you lie down, do NOT use shoes, clothes with buttons and belt buckles.
3. Be careful not to tangle the support strings. When you take it down, twist them a bunch of times to make sure they don't get messed up.
