Just perfect and just exactly what Ive been looking for!

It's pretty much what I expected but I found a half-inch chip in the "bottom blade" that makes that area unusable. Thankfully it's only a few inches down from the ruler and there's plenty of space below it that works amazingly well. After a bit of cleaning to get the last 50 years cleaned off, I'm just adding a new ruler at the chipped spot - so, for a few nails and at a damned fine price, I've got myself a wonderful cutter for my needs that is a million times better quality than the more recently produced plastic versions that have very little to no quality control and/or longevity.
