A former real estate agent and antiques dealer, I opened my Etsy shop when the real estate market crashed in 2008 and I decided to pursue dealing & collecting antiques again. I started refinishing furniture in 1990 out of necessity but grew to love the creativity in saving pieces destined for the junkyard. Etsy has been the perfect venue to help revive my antique business.

My husband and I live in a beautiful, historic port town on the Chesapeake Bay of Maryland. When I have time, I enjoy gardening, crafting and reading.

My logo and Etsy avatar is what I get asked about the most. I developed my logo and shop avatar from a picture I inherited of my paternal grandmother, Charlotte, taken in 1929. This picture is what also inspired the name for my business. My grandmother, Charlotte lived with us later in her life until she died in 1983. A very private person, she never talked much about herself but after researching my family's genealogy, I've learned a great deal more about her and now feel more connected to her. When I think of my shop, I think of my grandmother, Charlotte. She is my brand & the face of my business - Echoes Of Charlotte.
