Summer Shipping Policy

Please note that shea butter is a solid oil which can melt during shipment in the summer months. Shipping is from the East Coast where peak temperatures usually are seen between June and September. From June 1 through September 1, we include an ice pack with every 1 pound order of shea butter, but the other sizes are packed without a cold pack. Samples and international shipment of butters are not available during this time. The buyer assumes the risk for summer shipments of shea butter, and there are no returns or refunds due to melting. If your product arrives melted you can restore its firm consistency by placing it in the refrigerator or freezer until it re-hardens. This does not damage the product. The same policy also applies to cocoa butter, which is less likely to melt but still cannot be guaranteed to arrive in solid form due to the summer heat. Regular shipment of all sizes of shea and cocoa butter resumes on September 2. By purchasing during the summer you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all the terms of our summer shipping policies and accept the risk of your delivery arriving in melted/liquid form.
