POTTERY
My current work is polychrome earthenware. This is underglaze decoration on a white clay body. The underglazes are applied at various stages before and between up to 4 firings. The glaze is applied to the entire piece which is supported on some arrangement of stilts in the glaze firing. Many pieces have special design features on the bottoms!

As you will see, especially if you visit my webpage, www.eleanoraeden.com, I am working in a wide variety of decorating motifs. The common thread is a commitment to complex design work and intricate composition. My bright pottery will bring the sunlight into any room! It is food-safe and made to be used. I ship UPS insured but can use other carriers if requested. I double-box all pottery shipments. I have a long history of satisfied customers who come back for more, and will work to help resolve any problems.

GLASS JEWELRY
This jewelry is made by combining art glass with dichroic glass. Dichroic glass shows a different color when light is going through it from that when light is being reflected off it, and the reflected light itself has two colors depending upon whether the main light is being reflected directly or at an oblique angle. Seeing the earring in a photo is necessarily different than when being worn; as the wearer moves the color changes back and forth from the transmitted color to the reflected color.

I make the earwires myself from sterling silver or 14k gold-filled wire. I buy my wire from a reputable small fine metals foundry, not a jewelry supplier. It is the finest available. I cannot wear commercial gold-filled wires but my own are always comfortable. The fine quality 14k instead of 12k of most commercial findings makes the difference.

Jewelry will come to you in a velveteen bag with my logo. I ship small jewelry orders in padded envelopes by USPS with delivery confirmation. Larger orders go by UPS unless otherwise requested.
