Morning In Montana Hand Dyed Shetland Locks-5.4 Ounces by EmsketsFiberworks

This primitive Shetland fleece was washed and dyed by me.

These can be used for lock spun yarns, felting or whatever your mind. This colorway reminds me of my geology field camp days in Cardwell, Montana. Purple of the early morning sky, the browns of the exposed mountains, the deep green of the evergreens. I would wear layers upon layers of clothes and gaze at the sky on my way to breakfast.

These locks are between 4-5" and came from an uncoated fleece. There are the occasional bits of vegetable matter in them.

Dyed with Washfast Acid Dyes which will stand up well for all your creative endeavors and is safe for crafting with children.

Please buy all that you need as this colorway is NOT repeatable.

The hogget fleece is the first fleece sheared from a lamb. This was an uncoated fleece and it contains a small amount of vegetable matter

This roving does have a bit of vegetable matter, but should drop out during spinning.

4 ounces of white merino roving. This came from a small farm in Wisconsin where they specialize in DeLaine Merinos. In fact this was purchased at the fleece sale at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival.

The one thing about this roving, it's full of vegetable matter. I have discounted the roving appropriately. It's very tough to photograph detail of this roving as the fiber is so fine.

My best guess is either a Columbia or Corriedale fleece, but it could also be a Merino-cross. This was an uncoated fleece and it contains a small amount of vegetable matter
