Thanks for stopping by my shop. All my designs are hand thrown and hand painted, no two are exactly alike. All hand painted designs are created using a process of graphite transferring which promotes uniformity piece to piece. Each bee, grasshopper and butterfly is first designed on paper to create a master copy. A graphite outline is traced from the master. The graphite tracing is pressure rubbed onto unbisked, bone-dry ware, creating a “dry graphite transfer”. The graphite outline on the ware is painted over and detailed by hand with underglaze. The ware is bisk fired, then glazed and fired again making all designs permanent.

I'm back working in my studio designing some new pieces and revisiting some old ones. I've made some decisions concerning the shapes and sizes of some of my work, and have decided to narrow them to just a few so that I can focus my energy on the surface design. With that in mind, I'll be posting some new teapots and teacups & saucers soon.

I'll also be introducing some decorative wall-hanging pieces. Last year I made a series of wall-hanging bowls that I think are really lovely on display, but can also function on the table. I also love the idea of small wall-hanging plates...hopefully I'll be posting those soon as well.
