To ensure the correct size, trace both of your feet, measure your tracings and compare the measurements to our Sizing Chart pictured in the images of each listing. It is crucial that you mark the spot between the Big Toe and 2nd Toe (the "V"), so we can ensure Toe Loop placement is correct. Be sure to take each picture standing directly above the tracing with the tracing centered in the camera frame.

After Checkout send us 2 pictures, one of each tracing with a measuring tape placed along the length of the tracing, so we can confirm the size you've selected. we cannot begin making your sandals until we have these pictures, so please get them to us shortly after ordering.

Stand barefoot on a white piece of paper. Using a PENCIL, hold it at a 90 degree angle to the paper and trace closely around your entire foot being careful to not angle the pencil under your foot. Erase any incorrect lines so we know the exact shape of your foot. Take the pencil and put it in the "V" between your Big Toe and Second Toe and mark the spot clearly with a small circle; this is where the toe loop holder will go which holds your foot securely in place. Repeat the entire process for your other foot. Use a separate piece of paper for each foot.

If your Sandals arrive and they don't quite fit, you can exchange for a different size or upgrade to a Custom Pattern. Exchanges must be Returned to us within 14 days of delivery. You are responsible for the return shipping costs and there is no restock fee. Exchanges are only valid for UNWORN Sandals that show ZERO signs of wear to the Sole. Once we receive your returned Sandals we will contact you to confirm sizing details for your new pair and begin the process. The new pair will have the same 2-3 week production window.

Exchanges are not allowed on Custom Patterns, as these Sandals are made for your specific foot shape and will not be wearable by anyone, but you.

If you are a Return Customer, Select the Size you previously ordered and leave us a Note at Checkout letting us know you’ve ordered before. Whatever size you select at checkout will be the size we make and send you, so make sure you select the correct size. If you don’t remember what size you previously ordered, let us know and we will look it up for you.

If you are a Return Customer with a Custom Pattern on file, please leave us a Note at Checkout letting us know the approximate date you last ordered and what Name your Pattern is filed under. When you go to Checkout be sure to select the Variation that says “Custom” next to it. If you purchase the Custom Variation at checkout then there is no additional fee, it is already calculated in!

Yes, absolutely and like all leather items, there is a break in period. Once you receive your sandals we recommend wearing them outside onto the pavement to scuff up the soles a bit, which will give them more grab. The more you wear them the more they will break in, mold to the contours of your feet and create the perfect level of sole traction based on your specific movements. This small amount of traction will not inhibit your turns and glides, but will help give you ideal control over each movement.

Absolutely! This is why we offer so many different Sole Options Dance Sole, Daily Sole and Rubber Soles. The Daily Sole or Rubber Sole would be the best choice for everyday wear. If you want a leather sole the Daily Sole is a tough durable 8/10oz weight Leather Sole. Whereas the dance sole is a lightweight flexible 6/7oz weight sole and won’t hold up to everyday around town wear.

~ Dance Sole: 6/7oz (3/32" – 7/64") Oak Tanned Leather, thinnest sole we offer, gives ultimate flexibility, closest you will get to a barefoot feel. Comes in Natural and Black.
~ Daily Sole: 8/10oz (1/8"– 5/32") Oak Tanned Leather, this is the thickest sole we offer, it is sturdy and long lasting. Can be danced in, but not as flexible as the dance sole. Comes in Natural and Black.

After a whole lot of thought we’ve decided to bring back the Rubber Sole Options for folks (like myself!) who want a more rugged everyday sole that can endure daily adventures during the warm months of the year.

We now offer the Highest Quality Premium Rubber Soles from Vibram and Nora, the best available in the world!

All Rubber Soles are 4mm (⅛” thick) with high abrasion resistance, excellent traction and durability for everyday wear. Rubber Soles come in Black, Brown and Sand.

The Rubber Sole Option is not recommended for dancers.

Our sandals are a must have for dancers who perform on a variety of different surfaces and will allow you to spin on both carpet, smooth floors and outdoors.

As a dancer of many years, I know how important it is that your feet move smoothly over whatever dance surface you are on. All it takes is one moment of your feet sticking to the floor for your knees to move ahead of your legs, which can result in a leg injury.

Our dance sandals have traditional Oak Tanned Leather Soles that are not only long lasting and durable, but glide easily over any surface, making turns effortless and graceful.

We offer single padding and double padding options. We use a latex foam padding that is inserted between the Footbed and Sole of the sandal.

Feedback from our Dance customers is that the padding doesn't significantly impact foot flexibility. It gives just enough cushion, while allowing mobility with each bend of your foot. If you desire a little extra comfort we recommend the Dance Sole with 1 Layer of Padding. For a barefoot feel go sans padding.

For everyday wear/around town/outdoor adventuring or when you know you are going to be on your feet all day 1-2 layers of padding is just divine.
