Welcome socially conscientious buyers! The products you will find in my store are made from reclaimed/recycled materials purchased at the Habitat for Humanity "ReStore" in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The wood in my cutting boards, tables and counter tops are made from Beech hardwood flooring that was removed from the housing projects on Milwaukee's north side when the buildings were condemned. The volunteers of Habitat for Humanity carefully removed the material, pulled all nails and staff the "ReStore." All proceeds from the recycled materials in these items go directly to fund the Habitat mission in Milwaukee. Secondary and accent woods were purchased at a retail lumber yard but have been harvested using sustainable forestry practices. Thank you for your patronage.
