Hi my name's Anelia Lazaroff Torres, welcome to my shop. I started out as a visual artist working in a variety of mediums. I have shown my work, mostly paintings and sculptures, in various places in and around Los Angeles. My educational background is in sculpture but I had originally planned to study fashion design. Eventually, I realized that I would prefer not to be boxed into one specific discipline but would rather have the freedom to be creative in a variety of ways.

I have always loved fashion and started applying some of the techniques I used to make my sculptures to creating jewelry which I would wear myself and give to friends. There seemed to be a lot of interest in my jewelry and I decided I would like to start selling some of my designs. I was working fulltime for a large online vintage fashion retailer at the time. I liked working in fashion and really enjoyed being surrounded by fabulous vintage pieces! It was challenging and very educational but didn't leave me much time to create. I needed a more flexible schedule. It was then that I decided to open my own online boutique.

I started out selling vintage clothing and accessories under the name Funky Fondled and Fresh, but always planned to incorporate my own creations as well. I treated my shop like an art project creating all the graphics and putting a lot of care into presenting my vintage items. I wanted Funky Fondled and Fresh to be a unique space that reflected my style and sensibility. Eventually, I started to offer my own creations as well as vintage items. Recently I have shifted focus to my own art and design work and have changed my name to reflect this shift in focus. Thanks for visiting my shop!
