GaffneyGirlStudio's Shop Announcement

HELLO! My pincushions were recently featured in the FAB FINDS section of the May 2014 issue of Cross-Stitch & Needlework magazine. The Ivy and Dogwood pincushion sold out immediately! I have many different pincushions in my store. Please browse the other available styles, or if I can custom make one for you please CONVO with your questions or needs. THANK YOU! --Cindy, the Gaffney Girl--

Welcome to my little piece of the world!
I'm an accidental Southern girl...

Love took me from Indiana and relocated me below the Mason-Dixon line. Greetings from upstate South Carolina! Thank you for dropping in and looking at the pieces that I craft in my little country studio. •♥•

I'm not new to Etsy--just back in a different location with a new shop name and getting the ball rolling again.

I love making tags and other pieces of art from green and reclaimed materials. They are such sweet pieces of ephemera, a throwback to gentler times. Oh heck, I love making any kind of art. Who am I kidding?

Recently, I've especially enjoyed crafting vintage pincushions and Victorian hatpins.

If you are new to the beautiful world of hat pins, consider their uses:
grouped together in a sunny location as sun catchers,
displayed on an antique vanity,
fanned out in a crystal perfume vase or vintage pin cushion,
pinned through a beautiful tapestry pillow,
arranged in a bridal bouquet as a keepsake.
Just plain beautiful things!

I get so excited in the creative process, that I often pull everything out of my cabinets, storage bins, and shelves while working on them. The studio is sometimes total chaos, but the end result is worth it. I'm a cluttered artist, but that's how I roll.

All of my art and craft items are made with love and painstakingly put together. They are always original compilations and ideas. And... I am a perfectionist which is a hard taskmaster sometimes.

Many of my items are one of a kind. So if you see it and really want it, I would recommend purchasing it rather than delaying. So many times I have had customers express interest in an item only to have it scooped out from under them by another buyer. I will be glad to reserve it for you, but even that does not guarantee the sale totally.

I hope you will enjoy the things I make or perhaps they will inspire to make your own art. But no matter your inclination, do enjoy life and the things that make it beautiful. Be part of it.

SHIPPING: Currently I ship to the United States. Please contact me if you would like shipment to another country and I will check into postage rates and confirm whether I am able to do this for you. Additional postage may be required for your area. Thank you for inquiring.

Be sure to find me at Facebook.com under the name Gaffney Girl Studio for blogs and sneak previews or comments. Fellow Etsians--send me your link and I will follow your shop too!

Packaging and shipment are also a source of pride to me, and I hope you will enjoy your purchase from start to finish.

Being a rural gal, I journey in to the post office two or three times a week so your shipment will go out pretty quickly ( if the mules are freshly fed and watered). :)

Thank you for stopping by. The welcome mat is always out and the coffee is fresh. So pull up a chair and kick your shoes off and unwind a spell. Y'all come back now, y'hear?

Love,
Cindy, the Gaffney Girl <3<3
