From a young age, a variety of different art forms excited me. I practiced my art techniques using paint and sculpture, but my ultimate love came about through jewelry creation.
I wanted to learn metal smithing for a long time, but I put it on the back burner for many years. Finally 12-years-ago, I learnt all that I needed to know about melt smithing, honed in on my skills and began creating brutalist, irregular eccentric jewelry, under my brand GenJewel.

My metal smithing and jewelry- making knowledge allow me to sit in my studio and convert every day materials into hand-crafted, trendy and unusual pieces of jewelry using recycled sterling silver, fine silver, 14K, 18K and 22K gold. I have learnt how to melt and fuse silver and gold with wires, allowing me to create boho inspired jewelry pieces that are new and unique with a raw and rustic texture. All pieces that I create are eco-friendly and made of 100% recycled materials.

Each piece that I create has it’s own story to tell. I make jewelry inspired by a multitude of textures, experiences and materials. I draw my inspiration from far and wide, whether it be from natural organic and oxidized materials, including wood and metal or from ancient metal smithing, medieval jewelry pieces, artifacts and natural stones. I mange to find inspiration everywhere!

One of my largest loves comes from opals. I have created an entire collection of fine, dainty and elegant opal pieces.

My pieces have been created with everyone in mind. I want men, women and children alike to find the piece that will make them happy, whether you intend on purchasing the piece for yourself or for a loved one!
