GinghamLife's Shop Announcement

My shop will re-open in mid-May. Off to Istanbul--textile heaven!

***See below for charity of the season***
I sew one-of-a-kind aprons, skirts, and household goods using a combination of repurposed, vintage, and new materials. My work honors the creativity, thrift, and technical skill of generations of American seamstresses. I strive to make the best possible use of every material that comes into my hands, and to make things that are beautiful as well as useful. Please WEAR and USE your Gingham Life purchase! It is made to last as long as the lovely mid-century items that inspire my work.

In combing neighborhood garage sales and rummage sales for vintage textiles to repurpose, I occasionally come across old tablecloths/linens that are in excellent or mint condition. I will not cut a tablecloth that still belongs on a table or in someone's collection! These items are offered for sale.

My goods are made and stored in a smoke-free environment. I prewash all fabrics with non-toxic, earth safe cleaning products.
