What started as a hobby for Marie Dyson Clough in 2009 continued to grow and grow into a full sized small business. In January 2016 the Homegrown Creativity family grew for the first time....

After a blessed but busy Fall 2015 sales season Marie made the decision to grow the business and brought in her sister who will learn to act in all aspects of the business. Imagine this...no more being closed during vacations, we will always be open now except during Christmas when we all take time off.

As much as Marie loved to cut paper all day long, she didn't have time to expand the business and explore all the creative ideas in her head for future product ideas. Now with this added help anything is possible!

We design, print, and cut all items in our home office! Everything is created in house! Thank you for trusting us with your small business packaging needs!

My life today is because of Etsy and my shop here. Without my business I wouldn't be home with my kids, without my business I would have been forced into the job market after being a stay at home mom for 5 years, without my business I wouldn't have kept the life we were accustom to when my husband died suddenly in December 2011.

Every day I realize how grateful I am to have my business, and while we suffered a tragedy I have so much to be grateful for. That gratefulness leads to my business, I work hard daily to provide the best customer service, attention to detail, and the best possible customer experience each and every time you purchase from me. I strive for perfection, that perfection has lead to a huge percentage of my customers being repeat customers, customers who return time and time again. I want you happy!

How about some personal details about me... my husband wrote this bio for my shop before he passed away (I just update the kids ages).

*★* Marie Dyson lives in the small town of Surprise, Arizona with her 10 year old son, and 6 year old baby girl. Up until 2007, Marie worked as a software engineer in the aerospace industry. During that time, she practiced jewelry and bead making as a hobby. Following the birth of her son, Marie chose to become a full-time stay-at-home mom...a calling she considers to be "the best job ever!"

Being a stay-at-home mother has allowed Marie much more time to practice, perfect and expand her skill in making handmade jewelry. Marie's creative passion is in making one-of-a-kind jewelry. Her styles range from rustic and organic to refined and elegant. Expanding on her jewelry business she started designing paper earring cards to display her jewelry, once she discovered a separate market for her cards the business and her love of paper just grew from there! *★*

- - - ♥ My husband passed away suddenly Dec. 21, 2011. I can't say enough wonderful things about him as a man, father and husband. Tears are shed daily for him. He wrote my profile here on Etsy for me, just one of the 1000's of things he did to support me in all that I did. He often helped me give creative names to my jewelry, praised my work and just supported me 100%. Thank You to the love of my life I miss you beyond words but know I am going to make it because of the love and support you provide myself and our family. I love you Jay! - Love Marie ♥ - - -

~ 💚 ABOUT CASSIE 💚 ~

I graduated from Cal State San Bernardino in 2004, with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and became a detention officer for the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office for 11 years.

In that 11 years I was blessed with a wonderful and supporting husband and a sweet imaginative little boy (now 4 year's old).

In 2015 I left the Sheriff's Office to work with my sister, Marie, at Homegrown Creativity. Allowing me to spend more time with what matters most, my family!
