HopeFarmHunnyB's Shop Announcement

Welcome to our Shop! We are devoted to spreading HOPE with every order made, email sent and package that we ship. We thrive on collaboration - that's how the business was started! If you are browsing an item and have an idea for something you want but don't see, just ask! It gives us much joy to make a fresh, new item, or a variation of one of our current designs. If we are creating something specific we will send you sketches or photos of the item in process for your approval. All wooden items, cake toppers and burlap items are MADE TO ORDER and will ship in 5-7 business days. Have a Hope-Filled day!

Hope Farm is the husband & wife team of Shannon & Cyle Lewis - Hunny B. is Cyle's sister, lovingly named Aunt B by her nephews.

Shannon Lewis has grown up around wood-working, spending hours in his Father's shop as a child & picking up all the tricks of the trade (Allen - Shannon's dad - owns a successful arts & crafts business based in Ohio),. His specialty is wooden crafts, painting & design.

Cyle Lewis hails from an artistic family, and since the age of 8 has made her friends gifts for Christmas, birthdays, & weddings, her first being a number of grapevine wreaths & potholders. Cyle's specialties are design, & resourcefulness, making something out of nothing, a skill she attributes to her upbringing in a ministers family.

Bethany Presten, Cyle's sister - i.e.: same artistic family - said of herself at age 5, “When I grow up I want to be a sewer & a singer." She is both. Adept with a sewing machine, she is credited with the original idea of some of our cake toppers and sewing designs. She and her husband are preparing a relocation to England as full-time missionaries in early 2013. Though the seas divide, some of Aunt B’s original designs continue to be our best sellers and she’ll continue to offer ideas through online collaboration.

It all began in October 2010 when Cyle roughly designed something on paper and asked Shannon to cut and make it - pretty normal for the do-ityourself husband and wife team. That item happened to be the wooden lettered pumpkin that was featured in a Etsy gift guide September 8, 2012. With pumpkin made, Cyle took a quick iphone pic, then posted it to her facebook profile. Within two days twelve orders came in! Cyle and her sister, Bethany - a.k.a. “Aunt B” - had long talked about starting a handmade business. With the momentum, a good bit of scrambling, and quick construction of an Etsy store, the three creatives soon had a business going and were creating Thanksgiving and Christmas items, unique stockings and more. As the year has evolved the team has found they are selling more wedding related items such as cake toppers and burlap banners.

However, though we can make many things & love being creative, we aren't interested in merely selling: in fact, we only sell because so many people have requested the items we've made as gifts or home decorations for themselves. We love to INSPIRE others to be creative and resourceful with what they find around them. If this means employing us to make something for you, SO BE IT! If it inspires you to make something with your hands, MIssion accomplished! Cheers!
