This shop was opened in early 2013 as a result of our love for collecting odd and unusual items that tend to only surface occasionally through life unless you go looking for them. One of our initial focuses was the often overlooked history of medicine. Whether we want to admit it to ourselves or not, there is quite a history behind the “practice” of modern medicine. Our focus is mainly on the period between 1920 and 1960 when reusable instruments like syringes and needles were in widespread use. The duplicate items that we have added to our personal collection are the items that you can find for sale here.

Over time we realized that there were additional uses for these pieces of history in the form of unique art works and replica props, most of the really scary medical gear that you see in the movies comes from the era of reusable instruments. The serum vials that we sell on the site are a perfect example, these are a technology that has been in use since the 1920’s. Glass ampules have been used since much earlier, starting in the 1890’s, and are still used today for medicines that require an absolute seal against outside air or other incursions.

Gradually the shop allowed us to expand into other areas of interest to us and other replica prop collectors, namely the PVC composite ID cards that we produce. So far we are offering replicas and fan inspired pieces from the TV series’ Fringe and Lost as well as a few variants for the infamous Umbrella Corporation amongst others. These are high quality PVC Composite cards that are printed using the same commercial grade equipment that is trusted by governments and corporations worldwide to produce secure credentials for their members and employees.

When it comes to the ID cards, the only thing that you will find missing from our offerings are any cards that look like official credentials for County, State or Federal entities. The prop makers in Hollywood have get out of jail free cards for these types of props, we don’t. We strictly adhere to the letter of the law when it comes to items like this.

We also specialize in ID cards for small businesses. On our printed cards we offer magnetic encoding, serialized barcoding in numerous formats and fully bonded high security holographic overlaminate (not the cheap holographic stickers applied by hand after the fact).

If an item is not worthy of adding to our own personal collection you will not find us selling it here, that is a promise! The only exceptions are the one of a kind works that we produce ourselves, the only thing from those that goes into our collection are the photos taken to prove that it came out of our studio.
