Please pay attention to measurements in the item description. The small white model I use is a jeweler's display, not a true neck size. My new flesh-toned mannequin is life size.

Any chain between 16"-26" can be lengthened or shortened free of charge. All chains can be lengthened up to 36" for an additional $1.50. Send me a message if interested.

Why sterling silver chain and findings should NOT be used with non-sterling pendants:

Sterling silver is a precious metal, and generally more desirable in jewelry. However, when combined with base metal pendants, the results can often be undesirable. First, the different metal types have different care requirements. You can not polish a plated base metal pendant as you would sterling silver or solid gold. This can lead to confusion and ultimately damage to the jewelry when improper care is given. Second, you will see a higher rate of tarnish when mixing precious with base metals. Plated pieces often have an anti-tarnish agent added into the plating; any sterling used in combination will not have this tarnish resistance and will act as a magnet for oxidation. Third, when mixing sterling with non-sterling, the value of the piece is compromised. You will very rarely, in fact almost NEVER, see a professional and conscientious jeweler mix precious metals with base metals. It is in many cases misleading when a buyer sees "sterling silver chain" when the main weight of the piece contains no sterling silver at all. Finally, it causes confusion for those who have metal allergies; when you see "sterling silver", you naturally assume the entire piece is sterling and may disregard any small print stating otherwise.

I wanted to share this information as I occasionally receive requests for sterling chain with plated pendants, and why I choose not to do so. Also, It is important to me that my customers know exactly what they are buying.
