Recycled Plastic Shopping bags made into a sturdy Tote bag by JMLStudios

I've been gathering up my plastic shopping bags (friends and families bags too) to make this sturdy, medium size tote. I cut up the bags to make flat pieces, and iron layers together to make a piece of plastic fabric. Then I use this plastic "cloth" to make totes. The totes are lined with fabric (also recycled). The bags hold up to about 5 lbs.

This tote bag has a decorative border of red and blue circles on the top edge. It measures 10" x 11".

This collage clock was made by me. It has vintage clippings from old books, coloring books, magazines, other. There are pictures of bird eggs, a tree, and other images, then I hand stitched around the images. The numbers were cut out of an old children's book. It has a simple to use battery clock mechanism.

This bird charm was made from a small vintage poker chip. The poker chip is only 3/4" across. The image is from an antique bird book. The accompanying charm is a silver feather. There are markings on the back of the feather.

The bird charm has been coated with layers of varnish to protect the image. I have signed it on the back. The silver-tone bracelet has been distressed to give it a vintage look. It has a lobster claw clasp. The chain is 8" around (including clasp).

What a hunk! The He-Man charm was made from a small vintage poker chip. The poker chip is only 3/4" across. The image is from an antique comic book. The accompanying charm has red stones but I don't know what they are, probably glass. I have many cast-off jewelry pieces that I have collected over the years.

Gift Card or Money Holder ornament for a holiday gift or for any occasion.

The little house is made of fabric reinforced inside with canvas. The front features a door and one small window with "someone" or "something" peering out. Each little window has a different image that I printed on fabric, cut out, and sewed onto the house. This one is umm, ME!

The ornament house has a pocket on the backside to insert a gift card, billfold, candy, or any other treasure. There is a silk cord on the top of the roof so you can hang it on a Christmas tree, doorknob, gift package, or anywhere.

It would make a great gift as is, or to embellish a gift package.

Here is a wonderfully aged vintage optical lens that has been embellished with a tiny collage made from carefully selected pieces of ephemera from my vast collection of vintage paper. The pendant measures about 1 3/8" or 3.5cm in diameter.

There are several layers of a gloss varnish to protect the surface of the collage and give it a beautiful sheen. Although water resistant, pendant is not waterproof. Do not wear pendant while swimming or bathing.

Just add your favorite chain, leather, or a pretty ribbon.

All my pendants are attached to a card, carefully and lovingly packaged, and shipped to you with the utmost care.

Here is a wonderfully aged ceramic poker chip that has been embellished with a carefully selected piece of ephemera from my vast collection of vintage paper. I've attached a vintage devil charm from my personal collection of charms. The pendant measures 1.5" across.

There are three layers of a matte varnish to protect the surface and give it a beautiful satin sheen. The attached bail is sterling silver.
