JanineBasil's Shop Policies
Welcome. Each hat you see in my shop has been hand blocked and finished by me.
Unless otherwise specified my hats are one size fits all.
Many of the half hat styles offer a certain amount of adjustment, wired edges allow for some manipulation to fit the head perfectly. Please convo me for questions or advice.
All materials are hand selected for quality and beauty. Where possible I use natural fibres, of course, with some fabrics the look is the important thing!
I accept Paypal, Credit Cards (via Paypal or Etsy Direct Checkout) and Etsy Gift Cards.
Paypal - payments must be made at time of purchase unless previously agreed.
I also have gift certificates for sale in my shop. These are ONLY valid with my Etsy shop.
Order will ship (or work will commence for made to order and custom items) once payment is cleared.
All coupon codes for janinebasil.com are also valid on my Etsy shop.
For any custom and made to order items please allow 2-3 weeks for making, but again, I will do everything I can to speed it up.
I will do my upmost to ensure ready to ship items will be sent within 2 business days of receiving payment for stock items, occasionally during very busy times it may be a little longer as I am a one women enterprise!
Overseas shipping most commonly takes between 5 and 10 days, but may on occasion take up to 6 weeks to arrive. This is quite rare, but please bear it in mind.
PLEASE NOTE I can not guarantee delivery times on overseas orders (outside the UK) unless a courier service is used (e.g. UPS or FedEx) which will start at a minimum of £35.
I'm afraid I will not mark any customs form as "gift" as this is against the law and I (if not a buyer too) could be in a lot of trouble for doing so!
All customers are liable for customs charges or VAT if their country adds it. Please be aware of the laws in your country.
Only packages over £100 will be tracked, unless requested.
Refunds and Exchanges
I'm happy to take back an item* if it is returned within two weeks of your purchase (though this can be worked around with international orders but I can't refund/exchange until I receive the item back), provided it is in original condition and packaging. I am unable to refund shipping expenses, but if you want to exchange an item I will ship your new selection free of charge.
*This does not include custom orders. Custom orders include changes to designs, such as replacing elastic with a comb, unless it is mentioned in the listing that either are an option.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not have a physical shop, and I'm afraid I don't have open days in my workroom (I work far too messily for that!). I am listing my address as it is a requirement of UK/EU laws.
