My collection caters to the customer who wishes to own their own small piece of Japan—whether it is something for the home as in a lovely wall hanging—maybe a pillow-- or perhaps a small pouch that helps to keep you organized in your everyday life. I simply hope that with any item that you purchase that you too will share bit of the Japan mystique.

The Far East as Inspiration for a New Business

I fulfilled a life long dream and traveled for the first time to Japan to see in person the art and architecture that I had only studied in books. I came home with some beautiful fabric and textiles given to me as gifts and using my quilting background, I was able to establish a niche in the selling market for Asian inspired home decor and personal gift items. I have since returned annually to Japan to personally purchase the materials used in my shop.

In these travels throughout Japan, I search out and purchase fabrics, printed panels, handkerchiefs, furoshiki (wrapping cloths), tenugui, noren, native textiles, and other misc. items that represent the simplicity and beauty of the Japanese arts and customs both old and new. I then incorporate these into my creations.

My collection caters to the customer who wishes to own their own small piece of Japan—whether it is something for the home as in a lovely wall hanging—maybe a pillow-- or perhaps a small pouch that helps to keep you organized in your everyday life.
