WELCOME TO OUR WEB STORE.
All of our pottery is “wheel thrown” high fire stoneware; most of our glazes, slips, and engobes were developed by Gina, although we have recently began using some commercial glazes and underglazes. The decoration is all done by hand when the pot is in various stages of drying, from wet to bone dry; all the painting and decorating is done under the glaze and will never fade or chip off. Our pottery is fired close to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit, making it very durable. All the pottery from Hummingbird Studio is lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe and ovenproof.

Limited Series

Most of our work is done in “limited series” as opposed to “limited editions”. The difference is that in a series no two pieces are exactly alike, each piece is an original. In a limited edition there is one original and all the rest in the edition are copies of the original.

Our designs are almost all limited to 250 pieces--- which includes all items except mugs. The numbering is very straight forward; the pieces are numbered 1-250 thru 250-250. The first number is the number of the piece and the second number is the number of pieces in the series. Starting with this production year, we have gone to a code dating system; the letter “I” stamped on the bottom of the pot indicates the year 2008. All of our pieces are signed Jim & Gina Mahoney on the bottom. The limited series number is stamped on the trim edge near the bottom of the pot.

Mugs: Each mug design has its own series and is not figured into the main series of a design.

If you are thinking about purchasing multiple items and would like an estimate of the shipping cost, please convo (contact) us and let us know which items you are interested in along with your postal zip and we will get back to you. If you are not interested in an estimate then just finish the check-out process and we will refund any over payment exceeding $1.00. We will bundle items whenever possible, so we can usually save you some money!

Shipping & Handling: Whenever possible we ship via Priority Mail; insurance is included in the shipping price. We ship heavier orders via UPS Ground and insurance is included in the shipping cost up to $100.00. We charge the actual shipping cost and do not charge for boxes, packaging material or labor. All items are shipped within 1-2 business days after we receive final payment.

Shipping prices are to continental US only; Alaska & Hawaii shoppers please contact us for shipping quote. Sorry we do not ship internationally.

Return Policy: All items are 100% guaranteed for quality and customer satisfaction!! If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason you must contact us via email within one week of receiving your package. We must receive the item back in the same condition in which it was sent! You will be refunded the full price of the item plus the cost of insurance; all returns must be insured for the full value of the item. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
