Way back when I was in college I was awarded a full scholarship for my artistic ability. But, being the dark ages, and because I was a woman, I was told to do something appropriate to my gender - to teach. So I taught art. I did that and many other art-related jobs until, finally, I started drawing for people and my talent manifested itself once again. Now, however, being the 21st century, I could act on my natural ability and my artwork took off.
