I make rope nautical decor using rope and knots as my inspiration - lamps, doormats, doorstops, finials, curtain tiebacks, nautical wedding decorations can be found right here!

Everything at KarensRopeWork is handmade by me, Karen in Lake Country, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. A sailor myself I just love the smell and feel of rope, it reminds me of my love of the water.

I love water, any water, the sea or lakes. I love finding new items and coming up with new ideas. My inspiration is all around especially living by the lakes in my log cabin. On a cold winters day, when I can't be on the lakes I love nothing more than sitting in my rocker by the fire tying my knots. In the summer I sit on my deck in the summer sun. What could be better?
