Couture Designs, Knits, Crochet Scarves, Capes, Cowls, Hats and Cuffs. Welcome to my shop, all items are designed and handcrafted. If it has to do with stitches, we do it. Our design studio in the Los Angeles area (LA General Store Design Studio) where we create all things stitched, sewn, embellished, knitted, crocheted,and beaded. We let the materials inspire me to individually design each item. The use of color, texture and type of yarn is what makes every item unique, striving to combine beautiful form with great function. There is inspiration and love in every stitch created, whether it be sewn, beaded, knitted or crochet.
There are four divisions of LA In Stitches:
1. "Scarf It Up" -- our line of hand made scarves. I use interesting stitches and combinations of yarns. This gives the scarves texture along with warmth and durability. Some scarves are long, some narrow, some have fringe, some have beading and some have flowers, or other embellishments. All are works of love, inspired by yarns and colors.
2. "Wristful Thinking" -- wrist warmers/wristlets. Bracelets inspired me to knit and crochet fashionable and functional accessories. No two are alike, and they are meant to be cute and fun. They can be stacked like bangles or worn as one. I'm not a big fan of matching pairs, singles are offered so they can be mixed. A discount is available if more than one is purchased.
3. "Sass Hats" is my line of hats and beanies. This idea was inspired by my teenage daughter who asked for sassier hats. Each hat is one-of-a-kind because I let the yarn "tell" me what type of hat to make. These hats are very warm and cozy, just the thing for chilly weather.
4. "Daron727" -- New for 2013. My son Daron designs, cuts and assembles this line. He chooses the colors and fabrics for this line of up-cycled men's accessories. He creates men's accessories that are fresh, young and exciting. Each one of his scarves is hand cut and woven -- then sewn. It is a time consuming process, but worth the final result!
We do custom orders, so anything can be made to your specifications for size, style and color(s). Our motto is, "If you can dream it, we can make it."
