As a kid, I followed my mom everywhere. One of her most frequented place was the fabric shop; she loved shopping for fabrics to make dresses for special occasions. My mom is a perfectionist especially when it comes to her dresses so sometimes it would take several trips to find that perfect match. Initially, going to the fabric shop wasn't my favorite thing to do because I'd rather get ice cream. But over time I came to enjoy the process of how she chose her fabrics and produced a beautiful article of clothing. It is from these early experiences with my mom the seed of sewing were implanted in me.

I started my first sewing project in 2002, I made curtains for my living room and I’ve been hooked ever since. With my childhood memories, I found myself enjoying making the projects just like my mom did. After having my third kid, I felt the urge doing something for myself. I've always love making handbags, designing and sewing the handbags satisfies my creative needs and helps me relax in an already stressful life. And with the help from my husband and friends, LeLa Studio was born....

I believe that my mom pass her perfectionist gene to me. :) Each lunch bag I created is like a piece of art to me and it deserves my attentions to details such as choosing the fabric and it's matching color lining, thread and even zipper. I enjoy making each one of them and hope I am making something both useful and beautiful for my customers.
