MTGlass's Shop Announcement

Welcome to my shop, MT Glass, LLC! My name is Marilyn Tillander and I have worked with stained glass and mosaic art for 14 years. In 1995, I learned in one afternoon how to make stained glass from my 95-year old great-uncle, Johnny Shmidt. He had been taught by his father and grandfather (my great, great, great-grandfather!!) who made cathedral windows in Germany. After several years of trial and error, I started to get the hang of it. I loved it so much that I quit my "real" job and went to work in 2 different Central Florida stained glass studios. There I learned the tricks of the trade and how to truly capture my imagination and express it in my creations.

The art you see for sale here is orignal. Since I designed each of these pieces myself, you can be assured that they are unique. I design and construct contemporary and traditional pieces, both large and small.

While I have several windows displayed, I prefer to do custom work. I can work with any patterns, but like to express my creativity through designing my own windows and mosaics. Please contact me if you are interested in a custom stained glass window or mosaic piece.
