All Magpie Designs are one-offs, designed and crafted in New Zealand. Every piece is inspired by a love of fabric – as much as possible using natural fibres and beautiful, luxurious fabrics, colourful, funky prints, lace and unusual bits and bobs, sometimes vintage.
The small person in your life should to be able to wear something completely different from all their friends, not mass-produced, but hand-detaileded and absolutely unique.
Let’s be honest, these garments are pricey (although I don’t charge for shipping) but they are all hand-finished with care. I am aiming to appeal to nannas, indulgent god-mothers and favourite aunts who don’t mind the occasional splurge and want to gift a beautiful garment that is not necessarily solely practical. I make these with my own 5-year-old niece in mind.
The size range at the moment is a bit limited but I am happy to undertake custom work.
