Hi, I make handcrafted wooden toys. I use mostly cherry and maple for extreme durability. These hardwoods won't dent or scratch the way pine will. My toys are available in the natural wood and finished with oil and beeswax or painted with non-toxic watercolors and finished with a water-based lacquer.

I'm a single mother of a two year old. I think it's very important that children have toys that enable them to use their imagination. Wooden toys are unique in that they can usually be fixed if broken, sanded if scratched, and generally spruced up when they get old. Wooden toys are more durable than plastic, nicer to look at, and nicer to touch. I believe that even everyday things like toys should be beautiful and pleasant to look at.
