We recommend hand-washing your vintage lingerie in cold water and a mild detergent. Items should be hung up to dry. Never use bleach or harsh detergent. Many vintage fabrics are delicate!

Most items will have been hand laundered in a natural solution designed to freshen the garment. Often, if we purchase a vintage garment that has recently been laundered, we will air them out for a few days to ensure that the garment and fabric are as fresh as possible. Items with tags such as New Old Stock will not be washed. We are a non-smoking business.

This is our condition guide:
Mint/Never Worn/NWT: No visible signs of wear at all; appears new, often with store tags intact.
Mint/Excellent: No visible flaws and excellent vintage condition.
Very Good: Normal vintage wear due to age, handling, storage and occasional use; may have some slight flaws but is in wearable condition.
Good: Vintage wear such as surface flaws, minor stains, missing buttons, small holes, etc., with all flaws noted and in wearable condition.
Fair: Clothing usually not in wearable condition; pieces are sold "as is", often for the use of the material, repurposing, etc.

Many of the vintage lingerie items that you see in our shop are, naturally, pre-owned. Due to their age and the often delicate nature of fabrics, condition varies when we find them. The items we choose to offer in the shop are all in what we would term good to excellent vintage condition. If we have detected any flaws in an item, we will certainly strive to point them out to you. There is always a chance that we will miss something, but we try our best to examine the fabric, lace, and seams for signs of wear.

Vintage items are sold "as is" because they are unique and special. Please take careful note of the measurements of these garments before buying, and ask any questions if you need additional information. We also recommend that you compare these measurements to a garment of your own that fits comfortably.

Remember that vintage sizes run much smaller than contemporary sizes. This makes measurements integral in ensuring a vintage item will fit.

We choose to utilize a mannequin for our photography, both for sanitary purposes and to capture different angles. As lingerie is intimate, it makes sense to us to wash and prepare the item, and then put it on a mannequin, rather than have a live model wear it and have to wash it again.
