I'm an art and crafts teacher, and I enjoy making hairsticks from mostly natural materials - wood, stones, sea shells, glass and metals.
Hairsticks are easy to use. Even if you are sure they won't work in your hair, grab a pencil and give it a try. There are many sites on the Internet where you can find explanations, even video tutorials, for simple but beautiful styles like Cinnamon bun, Figure eight bun, Infinity bun, Nautilus bun, Celtic bun or Braided buns of all kinds.
If your hair just fits into a ponytail, you can dress up even your ponytail with a unique, carefully chosen hairstick. I offer short, slender hairsticks for this purpose. They look nice in half-ups, too.
Hairsticks don't tear at your hair, and by containing your hair, protect it against the elements and friction from bags, collars, safety belts and chair backrests. Held in a nice updo, your hair can do its work and grow, grow, grow. You may even hide oiled ends and tips in your updo and give your hair a spa day while looking professional, elegant, messy or however you like. For added visual interest, wear earrings that match your hairstick or hairsticks.
Take a look, you might find something you like here! If you want to purchase only a single hairstick, convo me.
Remember to handle your hairsticks carefully. Don't pull or push them at the topper - it might lose its shape. If this happens, straighten it very very gently and slowly. Store your hairsticks either in a box, standing in a glass filled with quartz sand or in a hanging holder - don't just throw them into a drawer full of other things that might damage them.
