my art journey

I began my shop because my daughter recommended Etsy to me. She has been an Etsy Shop owner and is the current owner of http://www.spoilyourselfrotten.com/.

Etsy offers the opportunity for everyone to own original art at an affordable price. The art found in my shop is all original excluding the printed greeting cards. Original art means the work is the only one in existence. My heart and hands have touched each piece. When you purchase an original piece, no one else will have one like it. On the other hand, prints (reproductions of the original) are one of many. They can be an unlimited edition print or a limited edition print. Prints may be printed by an artist or may be printed in a print shop. They may be reproduced on various papers and may be various sizes. As a future investment, generally originals are more valuable than reproductions.

I love creating art and sharing my work with others. Inspiration for my art comes from the beauty around me. When something catches my eye, I feel the need to create. I love the contrast of light and dark, as well as texture in my work. When creating, I am caught up in the process, surroundings fade and time passes swiftly. Such is the joy of creating! So browse around and find an artwork that will "make your heart sing" for years to come.
