MoulageCollection's Shop Policies
Thank you for choosing my artwork! Below, I outline my standard procedures for designing and fulfilling orders.
Most importantly, I ask you for consistent, open communication. I strive to make every customer happy, but you need to explicitly state your requests in order for me to meet them. I am an individual artist and I will use my own discretion while creating your artwork. Please read the entire description of the listing, including photos, to ensure that you understand what you purchased.
Placing your order with payment reserves your spot on my schedule. No orders will be begun or completed without payment. Your date is not reserved until you place an order with payment, so sending me a message does not reserve your date on my schedule.
Prices and dates in the listings are correct. My schedule often books far in advance. I encourage you to place your order as soon as you can, since I can't honor previous dates once the listings are updated.
When expediting an order, I do honor the date you contact me (if I am delayed in responding), only if you have a question that is not answered in the item description or my policies. If your question can be answered in the item description, dates will be counted from the date of your order.
I use either UPS or the US Postal Service. I ship orders based on your event date, not your order date, to allow for updates. If you need to receive your order earlier than your event date, please let me know. I send a shipping notification to the customer when I ship, so if a package does not arrive on time, I cannot take responsibility for late arrivals caused by UPS or USPS. I have never shipped an order late, but cannot guarantee that the shipping carriers will be as conscientious.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: No additional lead time is required for international orders. Simply place an order based on your event date and choose international shipping at checkout. Orders will be shipped with enough time that you receive it in advance of the date you need it, just like domestic orders, although customs could cause delays which are out of our control. Import taxes apply, as they would to any purchase, and must be paid by the buyer. Should the actual shipping cost be more than the amount paid, you will be sent an invoice for the difference. Please contact me if you would like to calculate the actual shipping cost prior to purchasing.
Refunds and Exchanges
All refunds are subject to a fee of 15% of the total purchase price. Alternately, if you would like to cancel, I will gladly credit you the amount towards another item in my shop, or ship at a later date.
Custom artwork or items that have been customized in any way can not be returned or exchanged. Because I work with every customer to create an artwork they will love, and due to the individualized nature of my items, no refunds will be given based on your satisfaction with the final product, as I cannot guarantee what the final product will look like. I would be happy to answer any questions that you have in advance of creating the drawing. Once I have begun to complete your custom order, it may not be cancelled.
Should damage occur during shipping, please notify me as soon as possible and provide me with clear photos of the damage so that I can file an insurance claim. You must maintain all damaged items and packaging for possible presentation. You can choose between having a drawing re-made immediately, or a full refund (after the claim has been paid by the shipping carrier). It is up to the shipping carrier to determine if they will pay for the damage or not, so if the insurance claim does not go through, I cannot refund the order.
This has never happened, but in the event of a personal emergency, natural disaster, act of God, or other unforeseen circumstance, I am only a single person and I am my only employee; therefore, if I am physically incapable of producing your order, I will give you the choice to either receive it at a later date, or receive a refund of the full purchase price, with no further responsibility on my part. If you have paid to expedite your order and choose to receive it at a later date, I will refund the expedited fee only.
Additional Policies and FAQs
All designs will be based on the examples shown in the listings, but I will use my judgement when creating the design. Please tell me if you have ANY preferences for the design. Please tell me if your child is a boy or girl if you want the poster to correspond with typical gender styles. A 1.5” Moulage Collection logo (MC monogram logo) will be discreetly stamped in the bottom corner of art boards.
I state the recommended number of word for each size in the individual listings. If you include more words than my recommendation, I might omit certain things that will not fit on the design, although I’ll do my best to fit everything. I generally work "top down," so most important information should be written first. Drawings with more than one name take up more space, so please subtract 10 words from the recommended number for the “favorite things” section. I can take no responsibility for misspellings or misinformation that exists in the information provided by the customer, although I will edit and correct the information at my own discretion, including grammar and spelling. Please tell me if something is misspelled on purpose. I will not include any wording that is crude, off-color, or otherwise in poor taste, at my own discretion. If you don't write the information in full sentences, I will use my discretion to re-word what you have sent me. If you want me to include drawings, please tell me. If you do not request drawings, I might or might not include them based on space.
If you place your order more than 30 days before your event date, I will confirm the wording with you closer to the shipping date. If you place your order within 30 days of your event date, I might not check in with you to get updates, but if you have updates, please send them to me. I will not know if something changes unless you tell me. Once I confirm the information with you, I will not confirm again unless you contact me. All estimated shipping dates are contingent on prompt communication from you. If you have already provided information to me, and I contact you to ask for updates and do not receive a prompt answer, I will produce the design that includes the original information. If you never provide me with information, I will contact you to ask for it, but if you do not respond within 7 days, I will not initiate any more contact and your order will not be completed or shipped. No refunds will be given if you do not respond to communication, but I will produce your order at a later date if you do eventually get in contact with me (no guarantees are given in these instances for delivery by a certain date).
Once you confirm your information, either with wording or a sketch (proof), I will complete your artwork. Any additional changes or edits that you request might not be able to be accommodated, once I have begun the artwork.
I'd love to hear your thoughts about how you like your drawing! If you send me a photo of how you use it, or share it on social media sites, you agree that I may share the photo on my blog, Facebook, or other printed or electronic media as an example of my work. Your first name or Etsy username, and the town from your shipping address, might be used to share your feedback in other media, as will any background information like how you used it, to give context. Please tell me if you don't want any of this information to be shared.
I use real drawings as examples, and when I do, the wording on the drawing can be read by anyone who visits my shop. I might also include some details of our transaction to add context to a drawing (how you used it, why you purchased it, etc.). I also share photos of my work on social media sites, and photos in my shop are often shared by others on sites like Pinterest, which I cannot control. If you do not want me to share photos of your drawing, and/or if you do not want me to share the details of our transaction, just tell me when you order and I would be happy to keep it private. Please tell me as soon as possible, since I take photos of drawings before I mail them.
All policies are subject to change without notice. While I will honor any information that was current at the time of your purchase, it must be in writing with that date (for example, the information in a listing that you purchased can be accessed through your order invoice, as it appeared at the time of purchase). All other policies will be enforced as they currently appear.
