I hand make stoneware pottery for your home that fuses the rustic and the contemporary. I make mugs, cups, pitchers,vases,plates, luminaries and more! I love to use bright polka dots in bold color combinations of blues, yellow, red, turquoise and greens as well as simple glazing techniques as well as wonderful earthy, organic tectures. I make all my pieces as one of a kind creation and no two are ever exactly the same. I do all the throwing, trimming, glazing, firing and cleaning on my own! Just myself and the clay!
I have always had a passion for ceramics even at a young age. I followed her passion for the arts, studying Ceramics at Kansas State University under the renowned potter, Yoshiro Ikeda. While attending university, I met my husband who was serving in the U.S. Army. As many of us do, I went on to have a wonderful family, but did not let that stop me from pursing my goals, and am now a mother, daughter, sister, potter, and dedicated wife to a United States Army Veteran and hardworking man. In a unique way, my pottery balances function and form, as well as classic design and modern technique. I have spent my life finding a delicate balance between the art I love to create, and the people I love just as much.
I Throw all pieces in my home studio using a local stoneware clay. All of my glazes and stains are 100% food safe and lead free, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. I love texture, color and variety in my work and am always trying new things and modifying old .
