The avatar picture is of a painting I did on November 26 & 30, 2004 called: "Mishmash" the word itself means jumble, just like in the painting. It's an oil on panel board 11" x 14", linseed oil was used in some parts to dilute the oil and thin it out. This is my own original work. At the time, I have been painting several pieces in Van Gogh, only a few pieces in Renoir, Picasso, Degas and this piece, Mishmash came about when I was thinking of a title before painting, I knew I wanted to paint this piece, just pieces jumbled together, but had to come-up with a title, so the word mishmash hit me, and i used it, painted it, sumbmitted my piece in the annual library artshow, and was SO worried about the title, that until I looked it up in the dictionary, I felt a sense of calm. A title and painting that match!



HOW THE CONVERTIBLE EARRINGS ALL GOT STARTED:

While out of the country I was making some beaded rings on a wire. It didn't turn out the way I thought it would, so by accident, I turned them into earrings. Then on Monday, Oct. 12th, 2009 afternoon I made the same as usual and here I have posted a few more convertible earrings for sale. It can be convertible earrings from a straight to a curled loop. I'm going to try to do different things with the same concept and see what comes out of it. I was joking to my jewellery pals - my bro and his fiance that you could hang your key chain at the end of the convertible earrings since it has a lobster clasp attached to the end, so if the wearer decides to have a loop instead of a straight dangle, she may wear it one way or the other.
