Hi there. My name is Tam, short for Tamara.. given to me by my beautiful mother 54 years ago.

I live in a loving home filled with lots of laughter and lots of good chaos with the most amazing man, Celebrating our 21tstwedding anniversary. We have two awesome kids. Our son Ralphie is 17 and our baby girl Rivers is 15. They completely rule the roost... but we love it!!

We are tucked away in sunny California in a small coastal town. If I am not trucking the kiddos on adventures to the local beaches, farmers markets or thrift stores you will find me spending my days creating in my home-based studio. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 18 years and love having the freedom of the day while my kids are away at school to work on my craft. I started Nesting Pretty 16 years ago and opened up here on Etsy in 2009. I love what I do, and I do it with great passion. Being diagnosed with breast cancer and fighting through chemo and radiation I have realized that I am stronger than I could have thought possible. It has given me a newfound love for the beauty in all that life has blessed me with.

Nesting Pretty specializes in whimsy handmade jewelry with a pinch of shabby chic flare and rustic woodland hair accessories for everyday wear or special occasions. My woodland hair line "Behind the Shady Tree" was launched in 2011 and has become a huge success for bridal wear.

Every piece is lovingly designed and made by me and will ship to you beautifully wrapped ready for gift giving.
