****************** 11/20/09 Lace seems to be the word around here lately. You can find BIG skeins of lace weight BamHuey Yarn in the OOAK BamHuey section of my shop. 450-1,000 yard skeins means NO extra end weaving to do! Two new skeins of lace are drying at this time. Expect to see a skein of Bunny Patch Lace in the Alexandria colorway in the shop by the weekend, and along with it a 1,000 yard skein of BamHuey Lace in the Spice Mountain colorway.

Welcome to New Hue Handspuns!
I started spinning over 13 years ago, and I haven't stopped yet! I have spun for several other yarn producers and still do, but have decided to go back to selling my own yarn line. Thus was born the BUNNY PATCH YARN line, 80% Merino 20% Angora,and VERY SOFT!

I start by hand dyeing or painting the fiber and spin it into a fingering weight yarn of about 18 wpi. Each skein is 2 oz and aproximatly 200 yards. I dye fiber in batches that produce 8 matching skeins of yarn. If you would like larger amounts, let me know I am happy to do custom orders. If you need yarn in larger skeins.....let me know I can do up to 1,200 yard skeins.

Knitted up the yarn has a light halo/fuzz. I knit the Bunny Paw hand warmers on size 2 and the scarves on 8's or 9's. This also is a nice yarn for cowls and shawls.

Anne Hanson, Knitspot paterns, has created a wonderful Wiggle Mitt pattern using the Bunny patch yarn. Go over and check out her blog and see what else she manages to whip out with this soft warm yarn.

I sell the fiber in 2 oz hanks for $15.00 each. My dyed fiber inventory changes just about daily. You can order off of one of the fiber listings or convo me to see what I have on hand. If I don't have the color in stock I would be happy to put you on the list for the next dye lot.

BamHuey Yarn is my second line of yarn. It is 60% Merino 40% Bamboo. I start by hand painting the fiber and spin it into a 2 ply aprox 15 wpi sports weight yarn. Each skein is aprox 3oz and 200 yards. I hope to have fiber available for sale by mid April, but if you would like some before that, convo me I would be happy to do a batch up special for you!

******BRAVE SOUL SPECIAL...... This is a special offer I have on fiber of a new colorway. As a spinner I have been surprised a few times by how a fiber colors changed so much once it was spun up. Having a spun sample next to the fiber helps me decide if I want make a purchase. I think most spinners agree on that point.
