I spent this summer engrossed and inspired, poring over vintage Sotheby's & Phillip's catalogs and making the serendipitous discovery of stunning gemstones by a wonderful artisan here in Los Angeles. The gems are banded and crowned in 24kt Gold Vermeil - a delicate, luxurious detail evoking the freewheeling elegance of Josephine Bonaparte, first wife to Napolean, mistress to many, Empress of France, wearer of fabulous jewelry.
