By day I am a graduate student and teach English and writing to college students. By night I make necklaces. One day I asked myself what connection there was between the two. The answer: nothing. So I decided to create a connection. Thus the birth of Novel Forms, jewelry designed with a bit of literary flair.

I have been making jewelry—principally necklaces—for over ten years now. Each piece is unique and handcrafted from all manner of materials, from sterling silver to semiprecious stone, from ceramic to found objects. I like my creations to tell a story. I like to imagine what tales they hold. I have thus named each necklace after a novel, some famous, some obscure, that I have come across in my readings--stories that have spoken to me. I hope these pieces will speak to you.

N.B. I happily take commissions. If there is anything you see here that you would like an alternate version of, or any color or material you would like made into a necklace, just contact me and we'll see what we can come up with.
