Oliveark's Shop Policies
I am based in Scotland and create hand made miniatures. I also have a selection on vintage goods for sale.
Payment accepted by Paypal (preferred) or cheques in Sterling drawn on a UK bank. Paypal payment is expected immediately in full upon order, If you wish to contact me about my alternative methods of payment (see above) please do so immediately upon order. Orders will only be shipped after payment is received (and cleared if e cheque, UK cheque or UK postal order).
If you overpay the shipping due to an administrative or site error let me know and I will refund you via Paypal asap minus Paypal charges.
If payment is not received by 3 days after the sale has taken place I reserve the right to re-list but will contact you through Etsy convo to notify you first. I will contact you once and allow a further 3 days for you to reply. Payment that is not received in the specified method or currency will not be accepted. You will be contacted through Etsy convo and given the option to pay using accepted methods. Again, I will contact you once and allow a further 3 days for you to reply.
I am happy to ship internationally from the UK so do contact me for shipping if your country is not listed and I will quote shipping (at cost). The Royal Mail is an excellent postal service and, if you are in the US, you may find it just as quick as a delivery from within the US. Combined shipping is available if you wish to purchase more than one item. Non - UK buyers will receive their orders by Airmail and I obtain a Certificate of Posting which provides compensation cover for the value of your item up to GBP34 (approx 68 US dollars) in the event of loss or damage. The Royal Mail states that this service provides 'Worldwide delivery within five working days'. (But this is just an estimate and you must allow extra time at busy times such as Christmas). Express shipping available at cost - please convo me to discuss options or see UK postal service website at http://www.royalmail.com I ship as soon as possible after payment is received and cleared - usually the next day and certainly within the week. Please allow 2 weeks for your parcel to arrive. I will not be held responsible for delays due to postal strikes and other factors outwith my control.
When I receive your order I will convo you to accept receipt of your order and to let you know when I will be posting your item(s) and which address I will be sending to. Please confirm receipt of this email and confirm I have the correct delivery address. I do not send out a delivery confirmation unless you require one but I will mark the item(s) as sent so you can log on to etsy and check in your account under purchases and you will be able to see the status of your order there.
I ship to the confirmed PayPal address. If this differs from the address provided to me by yourself or etsy, I may consider posting to an unconfirmed address if you have a positive shopping history on etsy and convo me first. However, I will not be held responsible for order delays if addresses differ.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase but if you want to return your item for any reason, I give a full 7 day refund (excluding postage). Just contact me.
If your item is received damaged please retain it and send me a photograph including a photograph of the packaging and I will follow it up with the post office. I will refund you and claim from the insurance. You have 7 days from the date you receive your package to do this. If you do not receive your package, again let me know and I will ask the post office to look into it and claim on the insurance in order to refund you. You must notify me within four weeks from the purchase date and give me a further four weeks to follow it up with the post office. In either instance, I am unlikely to be able to send you a duplicate item but I may be able to try and I can send you a photograph of the new item to see if it is suitable. If you would like me to ship the new item or an alternative replacement from my shop I will cover the postage up to the price of the original shipping fee.
Guarantee, returns & exchanges: If for any reason you are not completely happy with your purchase you may return it to me for a full refund minus postage cost. It must be returned in original packaging (with an extra outer layer if needed) and returned to me insured and in its original condition. For simplicity I do not offer exchanges or store credit. Items being returned must be posted back to me within 7 days of you receiving it. I guarantee that my products are as described in my shop and the non-vintage items are produced by me. If items are not returned in sellable condition I regret I will be unable to refund you and you must take it up with the insurers you used when returning the package. I will allow 4 weeks for item to arrive and notify you if it has not arrived in that time. I will then give you a further 4 weeks to follow it up with the postal company. If item has still not arrived you are responsible for seeking compensation with your insurers.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Please check any local import taxes that may apply to you if buying from out with the UK. I reserve the right to refuse a sale for any reason. I leave feedback once transaction has been completed.
